Wellness Tools and Resources for Your Residency Program
The following strategies are some suggested wellness intervention techniques that are easy for individual residency and fellowship programs to implement. They can be leveraged as a framework to:
- Develop into stand-alone projects for an individual resident, fellow, or faculty member.
- Be incorporated into periodic wellness sessions to be led by chief resident/program director/wellness QI project champion. The intent of these resources is to empower residency and fellowship programs in customizing their wellness interventions and making it easy for them to highlight their wellness initiatives to ACGME and supervisor (program director/department chair) during professional evaluations.
Resources to Consider:
Physicians Burnout & Resident Wellness Modules
The intent of this document is to serve as a reference to be incorporated into burnout/wellness related sessions in a neurology residency/fellowship program's resident didactic series.
Several pages can also serve as independent resources for developing academic wellness quality improvement projects.
