- Project: Evaluating the combination of efficient office-based testing and automated radiographic study through AI models to provide pertinent data on disability progression and disease activity in the MS population.
- Raima Amin, MD
- Project: Investigating barriers to care for non-white patients with Parkinson's disease.
- Yvette Brown-Shirley, MD
- Project: Creating a one-of-a-kind initiative with key priority areas to include clinical, educational, and public health community partnerships, workforce professional development, and, with input and partnership from Arizona's tribal nations, to advance neurological health equity in Native American communities.
- Angela Lu, MD, FAAN
- Project: Addressing the health care disparity for a rural population to access to care.
- Jose Montes-Rivera, MD
- Project: Integrating health equity research into clinic workflow to improve access to neurologic care.
- Sameh Morkous, MD, FAAN
- Project: Developing a health equity strategy and taking action on key initiatives to help drive the health equity agenda through establishing diversity dashboard and scorecards to evaluate and improve the organization standards for inclusion.
- Aaron Nelson, MD, FAAN
- Project: Working with the pediatric neurosurgery program to identify what barriers at risk populations, particularly in the public hospital system, face when considering epilepsy surgery.
- Meghna Rajaprakash, MD
- Project: Developing a multidisciplinary Neurodevelopmental Clinic for Early Exposures at Kennedy Krieger Institute to provide children ages three to ten with diagnostic services and comprehensive treatment of the complex cognitive, behavioral, and neurological problems associated with intrauterine exposures.
- Talita Rosa, MD
- Project: To evaluate the patterns of referral to deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and dystonia and to determine the variables that influence Deep Brain Stimulation use at Duke University.
- Timothy Young, MD
- Project: Modifying the NIH stroke scale image and linguistic content to meet the cultural and language needs of patients who do not speak English. Alternate languages include Hmong, Somali, and Spanish.
