Research Mission and Funding From NINDS
The mission of NINDS is to reduce the burden of neurological disease. To support this mission, NINDS offers a variety of research funding and research training programs. It also offers scientific and clinical research resources, disseminates research information, and provides free publications on neurological disorders and related topics.
Investigators who plan to apply for funding from NINDS are encouraged to seek guidance from NINDS program directors. Information on program directors, their focus areas, and their contact information is available at the Find Your Program Director web page.
NINDS is strongly committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workforce and in research. NINDS views diversity, inclusion, and equity as cross-cutting issues that are an essential part of the way NINDS works to fund, conduct, and support research.
