What Is SIGN?
The purpose of SIGN is to introduce medical students to the field of neurology by bringing them together with fellow students with similar interests through discussions by neurologists, patient presentations, seminars, journal clubs, and learning materials, creating a new generation of neurologists. Learn about neurology through planning and participating in clinical, research, and service activities.

Scholarships:

Members may apply for SIGN-specific scholarships.
- Medical Student Scholarship to the Annual Meeting - receive travel funding to attend the Annual Meeting in person. Applications are open from summer to fall.
- Medical Student Research Scholarship - receive a $3,000 stipend to conduct a neuroscience-based project. Applications are open early in the year and close in the spring.
- Find more scholarships available to medical students.
- Visiting Medical Student Scholarships: - M4s can receive $2,000 to supplement the expenses for the elective rotation at a LCME/AOA-approved US medical school or a National Institute of Health. Applications are open in early spring.
