The numerator: Patients who had a headache management plan of care for migraine headache or cervicogenic headache* developed or reviewed by the clinician at least once during the 12 month measurement period

Exclusions are removed from the denominator for:
- Patient is cognitively impaired, cannot communicate and no caregiver is available

Measure Calculation Example
Dr. Pelletier had 45 patients with migraine and 20 patients with cervicogenic headache between January 1 and December 31 of the measurement year. This is the denominator. No patients were cognitively impaired or unable to communicate.
Of the 65 patients, 26 of them had their headache care plan updated and three had a headache care plan developed. This is the numerator.
Quality of care = 29/(65-0). Dr. Pelletier has a score of 44% for this measure.
