Measure Calculation Example
Dr. Agrawal sees 100 patients diagnosed with MS between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2018. This is the denominator.
Of the 100 patients, 11 patients had an MRI contraindication, and six declined MRI referral. These 17 (11+6) patients are removed from the denominator as exclusions.
Of the remaining 83 patients, 24 had documentation that they had an MRI scan in the last 24 months and care management decisions updated.
Quality of patient care = 24/83(100-17). Dr. Agrawal's has a score of 28.9% for this measure.
