Epilepsy Education and Resources
The AAN is a partner with the Epilepsy Foundation in support of its cooperative agreement with the CDC Epilepsy program: Improving Epilepsy Education, Systems of Care, and Health Outcomes through National and Community Partnerships. The goals of this initiative are to strengthen epilepsy systems of care, address inequities in epilepsy care, and improve patient outcomes.
Please find the following important resources to promote seizure safety, eliminate health disparities, encourage self-management with your patients, and learn about community support for everyone affected by epilepsy:

- 24/7 Epilepsy and Seizure Helpline: This helpline has trained information specialists standing by to answer patient and caregiver questions about epilepsy and seizures and provide patients with hope, support, guidance, and access to national and local resources.
- Seizure First Aid and Certification: The Epilepsy Learning Portal contains a variety of online and on-demand trainings about epilepsy, seizure, and seizure first aid to prepare learners to recognize a seizure and apply the appropriate first aid measures.
- Cincinnati ECHO Epilepsy/Neurology: These teleconferences are free, interactive, webinar-based mentoring sessions to help health care professionals with the many critical aspects of accessing and providing neurologic care for your patients.
