Pipeline Subcommittee
Develops recommendations for activities related to the neurology pipeline including high school (7-12), college, graduate, and medical students (including MD/PhD). The subcommittee is charged with finding innovative ways to increase the number of students entering neurology and to educate those who do not know about the value of neurology and neurologists.

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Attend two meetings each year.
- Offer the Medical Student Experience Scholarship to the Annual Meeting.
- Create and serve at medical student programming held at the Annual Meeting.
- Produce and oversee neurology educational tools and resources for all levels of learners including those in grades 7-12, college, and medical school.
- Ensure visioning and collaboration with other key committees within the AAN that have initiatives related to workforce development. These include the Science Committee (e.g., Neuroscience Is… Campaign), Leadership Development Committee, (e.g., past and future projects related to pipeline), and the Membership Engagement Committee (e.g. attracting students to become members).
- Serve on ad hoc work groups as assigned.

Meeting Schedule
- Spring meeting to review the status of Subcommittee projects (90 Mins - Virtual).
- Fall meeting to review the status of Subcommittee projects (full day – in person).
Estimated Time Commitment
One to two hours per month plus meetings and conference calls as needed.
Committee Composition
The Pipeline Subcommittee includes15 voting members, including the following:
- One or two medical students
- One to two residents
- One representative from the child neurology specialty
