Career Leadership Development Subcommittee

The Career Leadership Development Subcommittee oversees the Transforming Leadership Program, Women Leading in Neurology Program, Diversity Leadership Program, and Practice Leadership Program. This subcommittee is responsible for the development and maintenance of these leadership programs as well as oversight of the application process, including application requirements and grading criteria. This subcommittee reports to the Leadership Development Committee.

Chair: Yazmin Odia, MD, FAAN, MS

Vice Chair: Erika Tatiana Marulanda-Londono, MD

Staff Liaison: Amy Nostdahl, Associate Director, Member Leadership Development

Responsibilities

  • Review the application criteria and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Use the online grading system to grade applications.
  • Participate in calls to select the final participants and discuss ways to enhance the program as needed. 
  • Participate in conference calls with other subcommittee members on relevant issues as they arise throughout the year.

Selection/Appointment
Members are appointed by the AAN President and can serve a maximum of three two-year terms. 

Estimated Time Commitment
Quarterly conference calls as needed.

  • Women Leading in Neurology Program Physician Liaison (WLN)
  • Diversity Leadership Program Physician Liaison (DLP)
  • Transforming Leadership Program Physician Liaison (TLP)
  • Practice Leadership Program Physician Liaison (PLP)
  • Additional members assigned at large
