Conference Subcommittee
The Conference Subcommittee reviews and develops the curriculum for the Annual Meeting and regional conferences.

Responsibilities
- Have one face-to-face meeting in the summer to review procedures and priorities, and assemble a recommended Annual Meeting course curriculum.
- Audit existing Annual Meeting programs and review newly proposed courses.
- Participate as members of Topic Work Groups in the winter/spring to audit existing Annual Meeting programs and review newly proposed courses.
- Have several conference calls over the course of the year related to the Annual Meeting.
Selection/Appointment
Subcommittee members are appointed by the AAN President.
Meeting Schedule
- July meeting in Minneapolis
Estimated Time Commitment
- The time commitment in April varies based on the number of onsite auditing opportunities the individual opts to do at the Annual Meeting (approximately 2-20 hours).
- The total time commitment in May is approximately 10-15 hours spent reviewing and grading existing courses.
- The total time commitment in June is approximately two to three hours of conference calls as well as one all-day in-person meeting.
Committee Composition
The Subcommittee will be composed of approximately 15-20 individuals with an emphasis being placed on the breadth of coverage across various neurologic subspecialties.
- The Chair will also serve as a member of the Education Committee.
- The Education Committee Chair and Regional Conference Subcommittee Chair will sit on the Conference Subcommittee as a voting ex-officio member.
- The Medical Economic and Practice Committee will each have a representative serving as a member on the Conference Subcommittee.
